Forms, email and bookings

Create booking pages and manage bookings

A Booking Page combines public page content, images, prices, options and bookable availability. It can offer individual appointment times or an arrival-and-departure range for accommodation and other multi-day bookings.

Create a booking page

  1. Open Bookings > Booking Pages and select Add booking page.
  2. Enter a Title. Check the generated Slug, which becomes the public address at /booking/your-slug.
  3. Add the location, price text, excerpt and description visitors should see.
  4. Enter 0 as the Online payment amount for a free booking, or enter the base amount to charge through Stripe Checkout.
  5. Add a main image and gallery images if required.
  6. Choose the page layout and whether to show the title and main image.

Under Booking format, choose:

  • Date and time appointment for consultations, treatments, classes and other individual slots.
  • Arrival and departure date range for holiday accommodation, equipment hire and bookings that occupy several consecutive days.

Price text is display text only. Online payment amount controls the amount charged and requires working Stripe settings.

Add options and adjust the price

In Options, add extras or choices visitors can select.

  • Give each option a name and optional description.
  • Enter a positive Price adjustment to add to the total.
  • Enter a negative amount, such as -10, to apply a £10 discount.
  • Mark an option Required when visitors must select it.
  • Use Remove to delete an option row before saving.

The public booking form shows the total after selected options are applied.

Set up an accommodation or multi-day booking

  1. Choose Arrival and departure date range under Booking format.
  2. Decide whether the online amount is charged Per night or Once per booking.
  3. Enter the earliest and latest dates that may be booked, or leave either boundary empty when it is not required.
  4. Set the minimum number of nights and an optional maximum.
  5. Enter the normal check-in and check-out times.
  6. Choose whether customers may cancel and enter the minimum cancellation notice.
  7. Add Unavailable periods for owner stays, maintenance or reservations held outside Nune.

Nune prevents confirmed bookings and active payment sessions from overlapping. A departure date does not occupy the following night, so one guest can depart on the same date another arrives. Booking options are charged once; the base amount is multiplied by the number of nights only when Per night is selected.

Set dates, times and capacity

Use Booking Availability to add one or more rules:

  1. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Custom cycle or Specific date from Repeats.
  2. For weekly rules, select one or more days in the Days row.
  3. For a custom cycle, enter an interval such as every 2 days, weeks or months. Select the applicable days when that option is shown.
  4. Enter the start and end hours, booking Length, time Gap between slots and Capacity for each generated time.
  5. Use Allow cancellations to decide whether customers booking that availability can cancel online. When enabled, enter the minimum Cancellation notice (hours). For example, 24 closes online cancellation 24 hours before the booked start time; 0 allows it until the booking starts.
  6. Add a starting date for a repeating rule and keep the rule Active.
  7. Select Add availability rule when the page needs another schedule.

Use Unavailable and Override Dates for holidays, closures or one-off changes. Leave Available override unticked to close a date. Tick it and enter special hours, length, gap and capacity to replace the normal schedule for that date.

Choose the public date selector

The Calendar panel controls how visitors choose a slot:

  • Frontend date selector can be a Colour calendar or Date and time dropdown.
  • Calendar layout can be Calendar or Compact.
  • Calendar period can be Day, Week, Month or Year.
  • The three colour controls set the available, selected and unavailable date colours.
  • Show bookings on shared admin calendar includes this page's availability and bookings in Bookings > Bookings Calendar. It is selected automatically for a new page.

Publish and display the page

  1. Check Published / visible when the page is ready for visitors.
  2. Select Save. Saving generates its available slots for the next 12 months. Nune then maintains this as a rolling window automatically, so an active repeating rule without an end date continues indefinitely.
  3. Use View from the Booking Pages table to open the public page.
  4. To add it to navigation, open the Menu Builder and choose it under Booking Pages.

You can also display its booking selector inside other content with [booking-form id="2"], replacing 2 with the Booking Page ID. See Display and manage booking calendars for calendar and shortcode choices.

Duplicate a booking page

On the Booking Pages table, select Duplicate. The copy appears in the table as a draft with no public slug, so you can safely open, rename and review it before publishing. Its images, options and availability are copied; shared-calendar display remains off until you enable it.

Manage bookings

Open Bookings > Bookings Dashboard to search, filter and export bookings, or create one manually. Calendar entries link back to the relevant Booking Page editor.

Changing a booking status sends the matching automatic email when website email is configured. Use Resend email when a customer needs another copy, and check Bookings > Email Log to investigate delivery attempts.

A confirmation email includes its cancellation policy and cancellation link only when the selected availability allows online cancellation. The link stops working after the saved notice deadline. Availability rules that do not allow cancellation send the confirmation without that section or link.

A pending paid booking cannot be manually confirmed until Stripe payment has been verified.

Cancellations, waiting lists and refunds

For appointment bookings, when capacity is reached, later visitors can join the waiting list. Cancelling a confirmed booking releases capacity, but does not allocate the place automatically. Date-range bookings do not use a waiting list; visitors are asked to choose another available range.

Use Notify waiting list on the dashboard to email people waiting for an available slot. The first person to complete the public booking gets the place.

For a paid booking, use Issue refund and enter a partial amount, or leave it blank for the full remaining amount. Cancelling a booking and refunding its payment are separate actions.

Deleting removes the record. Change its status instead when you need to preserve the history.

If it does not work

  • If no dates appear, confirm the page and at least one availability rule are active, the starting date is valid and the rule's hours can fit the chosen length and gap.
  • If the public page is unavailable, check Published / visible and make sure it has a slug.
  • If it is missing from the shared calendar, enable Show bookings on shared admin calendar and save again.
  • If payment does not start, confirm the Online payment amount is above zero and Stripe is configured.
  • After changing availability, save the Booking Page so its future slots are regenerated.
